Bio waste – brown bin

Peelings, vegetable and fruit waste, food scraps, and other biodegradable waste

We dispose of:

  • Peelings, vegetable and fruit scraps
  • Small branches from trees and shrubs
  • Mown grass
  • Leaves, flowers
  • Food scraps

We do not dispose of:

  • Animal bones and raw meat
  • Ash
  • Medicines
  • Impregnated wood
  • Chipboard and fiberboard
  • Soil and stones
  • Animal waste and contaminated materials (including cat litter and small animal bedding)
  • Used hygiene products, including disposable diapers
  • Other municipal waste (including hazardous waste)

Residual waste – green or gray bin

All waste that cannot be recycled or placed in other bins

We dispose of:

  • Foil-coated paper
  • Greasy and heavily soiled paper
  • Greasy disposable paper packaging and tableware
  • Used hygiene products, including disposable diapers
  • Animal bones and raw meat
  • Animal waste and contaminated materials (including cat litter and small animal bedding)
  • Clothing
  • Small toys
  • Styrofoam from households (e.g., packaging from household appliances and disposable Styrofoam tableware)
  • Ceramics, flower pots, porcelain, faience, crystal
  • Eyeglass lenses
  • Mirrors
  • Heat-resistant glass, Duralex, and kitchenware
  • Grave candles with wax residue
  • Ash (cold, extinguished)
  • Everything that cannot be placed in other bins and is not suitable for recycling

We do not dispose of:

  • Construction and demolition waste
  • Bulky waste
  • Hazardous waste
  • Used electrical and electronic equipment (including RTV and household appliances)
  • Car parts, including tires
  • Containers for motor oils and greases
  • Cans and containers for paints and varnishes
  • Batteries and accumulators
  • Medicines and used medical products
  • Needles and syringes

Glass – green bin

Glass bottles, jars, packaging

We dispose of:

  • Empty bottles (without caps and lids) from drinks and food
  • Empty jars without lids
  • Glass packaging from cosmetics

We do not dispose of:

  • Ceramics, flower pots, porcelain, faience, crystal
  • Eyeglass lenses
  • Kitchenware, Duralex, and heat-resistant glass
  • Grave candles with wax
  • Packaging from medicines, solvents, and motor oils
  • Mirrors
  • Window glass and reinforced glass
  • Monitors and TV tubes
  • Thermometers and syringes
  • Light bulbs, fluorescent lamps, and reflectors

School and office paper, cardboard, paperboard, paper packaging

  • Paper, cardboard, and packaging
  • Catalogs, leaflets, brochures
  • Newspapers and magazines
  • School and office paper
  • Printed pages, notebooks, and books
  • Wrapping paper
  • Paper bags and sacks

We do not dispose of:

  • Paper towels and used hygiene tissues
  • Foil-coated paper
  • Greasy or heavily soiled paper
  • Milk and juice cartons (so-called Tetra Paks)
  • Paper bags from fertilizers, cement, and other building materials
  • Wallpaper
  • Disposable diapers and soiled sanitary pads
  • Disposable paper packaging and tableware

Metals and plastics – yellow bin

Plastic bottles, drink cartons, plastic bags, and packaging

We dispose of:
  • Empty, crushed, and capped plastic bottles
  • Milk and juice cartons (so-called Tetra Paks) and multi-material packaging
  • Plastic packaging from household chemicals and cosmetics
  • Plastic bags, sacks, shopping bags, and other plastics
  • Empty cans from food and beverages
  • Aluminum foil
  • Scrap metal and non-ferrous metals
  • Metal caps, jar lids

We do not dispose of:

  • Bottles and containers with contents
  • Packaging from medicines and used medical products
