Yes, there is a statutory obligation to segregate.

In such a situation, the community may be charged more for waste collection. A way out of the situation may be to make the person concerned aware of the consequences of their behaviour.

Bio, glass, paper – NO. Waste should be put loose in the appropriate bin and the bag itself in the yellow plastic bin. Bio waste is best disposed of without a bag or in compostable bags.

Residual, plastics – YES. The recycling plant processes this group of waste further, which is why it passes through a bag burner in the process. Therefore, you can collect waste at home in bags, which you should put into the appropriate waste container.

Pet faeces and materials contaminated with them, including cat litter or rodent bedding, should be disposed of in the residual waste container.
