8th Local Government Waste Management Forum

For the eighth time, representatives of local governments, the municipal services sector, experts, and decision-makers will gather at the Local Government Waste Management Forum, which will take place September 9–11, 2026, on the picturesque Sobieszewska Island in Gdańsk.
The forum is one of the most important events in Poland dedicated to the exchange of experiences, best practices, and innovative solutions in the areas of waste management and the circular economy. This year’s edition will focus on the current challenges facing local governments, including new waste regulations, the development of recycling, and investments in municipal waste management systems. The program includes:
- panel discussions featuring representatives from government, institutions, and experts in the waste management industry,
- presentations on best practices from cities and municipalities across Poland,
- thematic workshops, and a study tour.
There will also be ample opportunity for networking, informal discussions, and building cross-sector partnerships. The intimate atmosphere of Sobieszewska Island fosters the exchange of experiences and substantive discussion.
