The aim of the project is to create conditions in the Pomeranian Voivodeship for the effective implementation of the provisions of the Waste Management Plan for the Pomeranian Voivodeship (PGOWP) in terms of rational management of municipal waste, in particular the principles arising from the hierarchy of ways of dealing with waste and the assumptions of a closed-loop economy, i.e. reduce, reuse, recycle (3R – reduce, reuse, recycle).
The project received 95% co-financing from the LIFE Financial Instrument.
Total project budget: about 21,907,084 euros.
Project budget for the City of Gdansk: 2,913,409 Euro, own contribution of 5%.
(financial assembly 55.68% grant from the European Commission, 39.32% refund from the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management).

- educating residents about the closed-loop economy,
- minimizing waste and loss of resources,
- implementation of the activities planned in the Project will have a significant impact on the achievement by the Municipality of the City of Gdansk of the required levels of preparation for reuse and recycling of municipal waste and levels of reduction of waste landfill
